Keshawn McElwain (8) attempts a goal against Salado, but a diving save by the goalie keeps Lampasas scoreless on Tuesday. JEFF LOWE | DISPATCH RECORD
After a 3-0 halftime score, Salado added three goals in the last seven minutes to beat the Badger varsity soccer team 6-0.
“The first half was very spirted, and it was a 50-50 game,” LHS coach Ryan Race said. “But [the Eagles] put their chances in, and we couldn't find the back of the net.”
Lampasas came out hard in the second half but still was unable to score.
