A walking path such as this one at Cooper Spring Nature Park is what Forward Lampasas members envision for the cleared area that lines Sulphur Creek. The intent is to use decomposed granite to create a six-foot-wide pathway from Western Avenue to the Fourth Street bridge. ERICK MITCHELL | DISPATCH RECORD
By Thanksgiving, Lampasas residents could have a developed walking trail available along Sulphur Creek between the Western Street and Fourth Street bridges, according to Forward Lampasas members Deorald Finney and Joe Abel.
At the end of June, the local non-profit organization held a community fish fry to unveil its progress on the restoration of Sulphur Creek between those two bridges.
