LHS graduate earns law degree, inducted into State Bar of Texas

Michaela Ellision, a 2014 graduate of Lampasas High School, was inducted into the State Bar of Texas on Nov. 3 after passing the Texas Bar Exam in July.Ellison earned her J.D. and Health Law Certificate from St. Louis University School of Law.

Commissioners Court holds final regular meeting of 2025

Ten minutes was all the Lampasas County Commissioners Court needed to handle business in Monday’s regular meeting.The court approved several requests, including an interlocal agreement with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and a private road request.

Firemen lend a helping hand

Each year, the Lampasas Volunteer Fire Department, with a key assist from the Lampasas Fire Department, coordinates a Christmas toy drive for the community. This Yule season, 126 families received gift bags.

State park near Naruna boasts scenic views waiting to be discovered

Post Oak Ridge State Park, about 15 miles from the Lampasas city limits, hopes to have day passes available by the fall of 2026. Drawn public hunts already have been held there, and the park will host a guided hike on Jan. 1, 2026, although registration for the event already reached capacity.
