Meeting on tap for new state park

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will host a public meeting Jan. 15 from 6-8 p.m. on new developments at Post Oak Ridge State Park.The meeting will be held at the Lampasas County Office Building conference room, 409 S. Pecan St. in Lampasas.

Master Gardener certification class now accepting applications

Enrollment is open for the 2026 Highland Lakes Master Gardener certification class.The 11-week certification course covers principles and practices that support horticultural conservation, sustainability and community service.

New speaking contest to debut

Youth Advocates for Agriculture will hold a Public Speaking Contest on Wednesday at the First Street Church of Christ fellowship hall.The event is sponsored by Lampasas County Farm Bureau.

City staff enjoy lunch together before the holidays

Forward Lampasas held an appreciation lunch in December for city staff, with Lampasas Fire Department as the host site.
