Selie Hodge showed the Grand Champion Market Steer at the 2026 Lampasas County Youth Livestock Show on Saturday morning. Hodge also won the Grand Champion Beef Heifer honors as well as Senior Showmanship at the cattle show.

The January sales tax rebate for the city of Lampasas fell $1,370 short of what it collected to start the previous year. That marks a dip of just under 1% from January 2025.
