LISD school board president talks $139.6 million bond push

Lampasas ISD is asking voters to approve a $139.63 million bond that would raise the district’s tax rate by 8.51 cents. The district’s Board of Trustees officially called for the May 2 bond election in its regular meeting on Monday.

City Council OKs rezoning change, HOT fund allocations

The Lampasas City Council approved the rezoning of business park property Monday night in an effort to simplify the zoning of the just over 144 acres of available land.The property previously had mixed zoning of Business Park Zone 1, Business Park Zone 2 and Business Park Zone 3.

Church to hold annual auction to benefit youth ministry

The annual Pearl Church of Christ Valentine Auction will take place Sunday.Bidding will start after the church service and close around 1 p.m.Items will be displayed in the church dining for early bidders. The auction will include glassware, Pyrex dishes, antiques, old Texas books and much more.

Improvements to Pecan Street and Pedernales Lane could be on the way for Kempner residents.During Tuesday’s Kempner City Council meeting, members discussed plans to maintain the two city streets. The workshop session also included talks on obtaining a new speaker system at City Hall.
