Alot of people — Baby Boomers — bemoan the fact that we don’t still live in the 1960s. Many claim to want to go back to those times. Socially and politically, this is touted as a way to slide back into the good old days, when everything was great.

Medical facility holds ribbon-cutting event

U.S. Dermatology Partners has celebrated its new location in Lampasas with a recent ribboncutting event. The office at 207 West Avenue E is headed by physician assistant Keven Faust and provides comprehensive services for patients of all ages to address a wide range of skin conditions.

Community Bridge to meet March 9

All bridge players are welcome to join the monthly gathering of Community Bridge. The group plays the second Monday of each month in the Fellowship Hall at First Presbyterian Church, 403 S. Chestnut St. in Lampasas.The next play date will be Monday. Play will begin at 1 p.m.

Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge Debbie Garrett presiding over the day’s hearings.

CORRECTION

An item in the District Court listing that ran Feb. 27 contained incorrect information about one case.Defendant Meliton Zavala Medrano of Lometa faces a charge of injury to a child/elderly/disabled person with intent to cause bodily injury. Sentencing is scheduled April 17 in 27th District Court.

Wild pig traps available for lease to ranchers

The Hill Country Soil & Water Conservation District has announced an increase to the number of days available for leasing its wild pig traps.Now, landowners and land users in Lampasas and Burnet counties can lease a Pig Brig Trap system for periods of 60 days at the same, original fee of $250.
