Texas lawmakers are looking to ban student cellphone use in K-12 classrooms to limit distractions during instruction time.

House Bill 1481, authored by Rep. Caroline Fairly (R-Amarillo), says school boards across the state must adopt policies prohibiting students from accessing cellphones during class time.
