The Lampasas Independent School District Board of Trustees met Friday to set the date for a public hearing on the district’s budget and proposed tax rate for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.

The rate is composed of a maintenance and operations rate of $0.7162 and an interest-andsinking rate of $0.2856. The proposed tax rate is small decrease compared to the $1.0152 rate adopted in 2025. The current rate for maintenance and operations is $0.7552 while the interest-andsinking rate is $0.26.
The proposed interestand- sinking rate for the 2026-2027 FY has been increased for debt service due to the $115.55 million school bond voters approved in May.
