DISTRICT COURT

Lampasas County 27 th District Court convened Nov. 20. Judge John Gauntt presided over the following action.

Defendant Ty Brooks McCoy of Lampasas entered a plea of guilty to one charge of assault on a family/ household member with a previous conviction. He received five years’ deferred adjudication. McCoy also must pay a $2,000 fine and court costs of $310.

McCoy faced a second charge of assault on a family/ household member with a previous conviction, but the court barred prosecution on it.

Several defendants failed to show for their Nov. 20 hearings.

Felix Ybarra of Lampasas did not answer when his name was called for an adjudication hearing on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram in a drug-free zone. A capias warrant was to be issued for him.

Domonique Deshoun Gatlin of Bellmead did not answer when called for his adjudication hearing on a charge of burglary of a habitation. A capias warrant was to be issued for him.

Eddie Chavez Cruz of Lampasas did not answer when called for his sentencing on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram and a charge of assault on a family/household member with a previous conviction. Sentencing on those charges has been rescheduled for Dec. 4.

In other upcoming December action:

Maria del Carmen Salinas of Lampasas has a plea hearing set for Dec. 11 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance greater than or equal to 4 grams and less than 200 grams.

Juliaann Nicole Maldonado of Lometa has a Dec. 11 review slated on two separate charges of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.

Jerry Lamont Pickens of Belton has a Dec. 14 pretrial scheduled on a charge of engaging in organized criminal activity.

Adrian Louis Navarro of Lampasas is set for a Dec. 18 adjudication hearing on a charge of indecency with a child-sexual contact.

The court moved these cases into the new year:

Jimmy Lee Wesson of Copperas Cove has a pretrial hearing planned for Jan. 15, 2021 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.

Keantae Montrelle Jackson of Temple has a pretrial hearing set for Jan. 15 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.

Gary Lee Domhoff of Lampasas has a pretrial hearing set for Jan. 15 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram.

Daniel Ray DelaCerda of Goldthwaite has a plea hearing with presentence investigation planned for Jan. 15 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance greater than or equal to 1 gram and less than 4 grams.

An adjudication hearing for Patrick Anthony Lee of Bastrop has been moved to Jan. 15. He faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance greater than or equal to 1 gram and less than 4 grams.

Anthony Wayne Zilinski of Lometa is slated for a Jan. 15 plea hearing with a presentence investigation on a charge of evading arrest/detention with a vehicle. An order to restore competence is to be filed for Zilinski.

Allison Patricia Haley of Austin has a pretrial hearing reset for Jan. 22 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance greater than or equal to 4 grams and less than 200 grams.

Ulyses Fabian Rodriguez of Copperas Cove has an adjudication hearing slated for Jan. 22 on a charge of burglary of a habitation.

Zachary Austin Kelley of Lampasas has a pretrial hearing set for Jan. 22. He faces a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Frank West of Lampasas will have his pretrial hearing Jan. 22 on a charge of illegal dumping over 1,000 pounds or more than 200 cubic feet.

An adjudication hearing for Landon Ray Bankston of Gatesville is planned for Jan. 22 on a charge of possession of a controlled substance greater than or equal to 4 grams and less than 400 grams.

Priscilla Marie Freasier of San Antonio had her pretrial hearing moved to Feb. 5 on a charge of driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age.
