A city of Lampasas brush-chipping effort is set to conclude next week.
The service allows residents to leave bundles of brush at the curb for free haul-off by city crews.
No brush pick-up is scheduled Thursday or Friday, as the city will be closed for Thanksgiving.
On Monday through Dec. 4, however, brush collection will continue in the northeast part of town – north of First Street and east of Key Avenue. Brush-chipping trucks also will work next week to finish all other sections of town.
The city uses the following guidelines for the brush pick-up program.
• Brush should be no longer than 4 feet.
• Crews will not pick up lumber or trash as part of brush chipping.
• Bundles of brush must be out by the curb, as no alley pick-up is available.
