The Lometa City Council opened its July 1 meeting with a public hearing on a proposed alcohol ordinance that would open the door to the on-premises sale of alcoholic beverages by restaurants within the city limits.The council received endorsement of the ordinance from the Lometa Chamber of Commerce.
