Pierian Club plans Christmas concert

The 35th annual Pierian Christmas Concert is set for Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 402 S. Key Ave. Music will be provided by soloists D’Anne Willis and Alicia Straley, Children in Action and HOPE Ensemble of First Baptist Church.

LHS students to perform ‘Beauty and the Beast’

Historic residence to be featured on tour

Previously known as the Cauthen House, 206 S. Walnut St. is now home to Rasty and Keitha Goodwin. It will be one of the featured stops on this year’s Tour of Homes, set for Dec. 4. Tour tickets are available from the Lampasas County Museum.

Highland Arts Guild to present Fall Show

Highland Arts Guild and Gallery has more than 50 local artists who will present their work in the Fall Show 2022. The show is scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at the gallery, 318 Main St. in Marble Falls. At 5 p.m.

First Street Church of Christ constructs new building for growing congregation

Construction is underway for a new Family Life Center at First Street Church of Christ. Church officials said the new building will allow for a larger area to host events and continue to serve a growing congregation.

Annual Christmas tree contest on tap at museum

It is time to prepare for the Lampasas County Museum’s annual Christmas Tree and Gingerbread House contests. The theme this year is “I’ll Be Home for Christmas: A Tribute to First Responders.” A prize will be awarded to the tree and the gingerbread house that come closest to the theme.

Book-signing, Eclipse Day planned at library

Library events are taking place this month for people of all ages. “How Pinteresting!” will be held in the library’s Foundation Room Nov. 8 from 5-7 p.m. The project this month is “Mod Podge Fall Leaves Vase. The craft involves using Mod Podge to decorate mason jars with leaves.

The Community Kitchen is hosting a Thanksgiving Veterans Day feast on Saturday at the Lampasas VFW Post from 5-7 p.m, The dinner is open to the entire community to come celebrate both Veterans Day and Thanksgiving, said Ginnefer Gass, lead founder of the kitchen. “We feed anybody in the community.
