Burn ban lifted through Thursday

Lampasas County Judge Randy Hoyer on Monday lifted the county’s burn ban through 6 p.m. Oct. 20. The Lampasas County Commissioners Court may consider whether to reissue an order banning outdoor burning when it convenes on Oct. 24.

Fire destroys structure off FM 2657

By Monique Brand | Dispatch Record A fire Wednesday about 12:30 p.m. destroyed a structure off FM 2657, near FM 3046. The Lampasas Fire Department, Kempner Volunteer Fire Department, Copperas Cove Fire Department and Acadian Ambulance Service responded.
