Mr. Romero

Mark Anthony Romero, 34, of Lometa died at his residence on Feb. 21, 2022.

Mark was born on March 2, 1987, in Goldthwaite to Amado Romero and Mary Gloria Cortez. He had lived all his life in Lometa.

He was a landscaper, which also was his hobby. He loved to garden, grow flowers and plants.

Mark also loved all sorts of sports and had played football for Lometa High School, where he graduated. He had a love of music and was able to play many instruments, including the piano. He leaves behind his dogs that were very precious to him.

Mark is survived by his parents, Amado Romero and Mary Gloria Cortez, of Lometa; two brothers, Julian Maldonado and wife Rhonda, and Demetrio Maldonado, both of Lometa; three sisters, Isabelle Caso and husband Max of Lometa, Hilary Martinez and Francisco Hernandez of Lometa, and Josepha Magee and husband Matt of Midland; his paternal grand father, Martiniano Romero of Veracruz, Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandmother. A visitation with rosary

A visitation with rosary recited by Wayne Belyeu will be at 6 p.m. Feb. 27 at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas. A livestream will be available at heritagefuneraltx.com under Mr. Romero’s name.

The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 28 at Lometa City Cemetery, with Father Boniface Onjefu officiating.
