Mr. Reavis

Nolan Paul Reavis, 70, died on Jan. 1, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.

A graveside service will be held at Tobey Cemetery, 630 Burnet County Road 221, at 1 p.m. on Jan. 8. The family will visit with friends immediately after the burial.

Paul was born on March 23, 1951, in Lampasas to Buford and Lois Reavis. He grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School in 1969. He had always been good with math and science.

After high school, Paul served in the U.S. Army.

Paul decided to get his Journeyman Plumber license and ran his own plumbing business for years, then started ranching. He spent his last 30 years working on various ranches from Big Lake to Lampasas. He shared his love of ranching with his son, Cody.

Those who knew him said there was hardly a problem Paul could not fix, a vehicle he couldn’t repair or a ranch he could not run.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Reavis.

Survivors include his son, Jacody Blane of Junction; granddaughter, Piper Renee Reavis of Junction; brother, Ricky Reavis of Lampasas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
