James Carl “JC” West, 57, of Balmorhea died at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio on Dec. 17, 2021.
He was born on June 25, 1964 in Llano to Frank West and Bonnie Pavey West. He and Pricilla Rhymes were married on Oct. 12, 1982 in Lampasas.
JC was a rancher, and his favorite hobby was rock hunting and collecting.
JC is survived by his wife, Pricilla West of Balmorhea; two sons, Jay West and wife Raquel of Balmorhea, and Jeffro West and wife Kimberli of Lampasas; three brothers, Frank West Jr. and wife Dena of Lampasas, Billy West and wife Deanna of Belton, and Jimmy West of Lampasas; and three sisters, Lola Guzman and husband Mark of Round Rock, Nancy Milam and husband Justin of Lampasas, and Elaine Abraham and husband Mike of Round Rock.
He was the grandfather of Jayce West, Charlie Freese, Capri West, Jett West, Kassie West and Averie Lopez.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service for JC will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas on Dec. 22 at 11 a.m.
