Mr. Love

Bob Patrick Love, 79, of Copperas Cove died on Oct. 13, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Bob was born March 17, 1942 to Cyril and Marion Love in Alice, Texas.

He graduated from Lampasas High School in 1960.

Bob married Mary Phillips on Aug. 1, 1963.

He worked with his brother and other members of the Love family at the family-owned Cove Ford dealership in Copperas Cove and Love Brothers in Lampasas.

Bob also worked as an auditor for the Texas Liquor Control Board and later in life worked in furniture sales. He also owned and managed several rental homes in Copperas Cove.

Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting and cataloging coins. He also enjoyed spending time with investments and following the stock market.

Bob was a 1966 graduate of Tarleton State University. He served in many civic roles for Copperas Cove, including being president of the local Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Love of Copperas Cove; children Kirt Love of Crawford, Jackie Powell of Fort Worth, Ginger Love-Burt and husband James Burt of Temple, and Kennan Love of Kempner; brothers Richard Love and wife Marvel of Copperas Cove, and Patrick Love and wife Lynn of Lampasas; grandchildren Whitney Wooddell of Copperas Cove, Rachel Bruni of Austin and Garrett Burt of Knoxville, Tennessee; and his five greatgrandchildren, Kace, Mason, Damien, Asher and Rylie.

Visitation will be Oct. 20 from noon to 2 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will take place afterward at Copperas Cove City Cemetery.
