Benita Maldonado, 95, of Lampasas died on Sept. 16, 2021 in Lampasas.
Visitation was held at Sneed Funeral Chapel on Sept. 20, with a rosary afterward.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church on Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Benita was born April 1, 1926 in Bend to Felipe and Martha Aguirre. She was raised in Lampasas and spent her entire life in the area.
Benita was well known in the community for her house cleaning services, and she looked after many children. She loved to quilt, cook, garden and was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Maldonado Sr., and sons Louis Maldonado Jr. and Robert Lee Maldonado.
Survivors include her son Ricardo Maldonado; daughters Anita McCauley and husband Robert, Vivian Maldonado, and Eloisa Williams and husband Fritz; and numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, great-greatgrandchildren, siblings and other family members.
