Mary Alice Gonzales, 73, 0f Lampasas died on Aug. 22, 2021 in Jarrell, at the home of her daughter.
She was born on June 28, 1948 in Greeley, Colorado to Seferina B. Marez. At 11 months old, she and her mother moved to Lampasas from Colorado. She lived her entire life in Lampasas.
She and Blas M. Gonzales Sr. were married on Oct. 31, 1964 in Lampasas.
Mrs. Gonzales was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She attended Cursillo through her church.
She was a homemaker. She loved to go to dances and listen to good music. Her grandchildren, greatgrands and great-great-grandchildren were so special to her, and she loved spending time with them. She also loved to cook.
Mrs. Gonzales is survived by her husband, Blas Gonzales Sr. of Lampasas; two daughters, Priscilla Trujillo and husband Marcos of Jarrell, and Diane Phillips and Johnny Ybarra of Lampasas; 11 grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by one son, Blas Gonzales Jr., and by a grandson, Adam Resa Jr.
Rosary was recited on Aug. 30 at Heritage Funeral Home in Lampasas.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 31 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Mrs. Gonzales will be cremated.
