Tanner Ray Reid, 35, of Lampasas died on Aug. 19, 2021 at AdventHealth Central Texas in Killeen.
Visitation was held at Sneed Funeral Chapel on Aug. 22. Graveside services took place at Oak Hill Cemetery on Aug. 23 at 10 a.m..
Tanner was born May 7, 1986 in Dublin, Texas, to Rickey and Teresa Reid. He grew up in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School.
He worked in security in Alaska, and loved working and living there.
Tanner was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, mudding, four-wheeling and everything outdoors. He also adored his niece and nephew, and loved taking them fishing, on rides in his truck and four-wheeling.
Tanner was known to help anyone, regardless of his situation at the time. He also had a sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Jessie Henderson and Wesley Davis; an uncle, Kenny Davis; and by an aunt, Dorothy Reid.
Survivors include his parents, Rickey and Teresa Reid; a sister, Tara Fields and husband Brandon; niece, Jessi Fields; nephew, Jensen Fields; grandmothers Patsy Henderson and Carolyn Cason; aunts Missy Morris, and Peggy Gailey; and numerous cousins and other family members.
