Melody Ann Hollevoet Dalton, 56, of Lampasas died Aug. 20, 2021.
Visitation will be held at Sneed Funeral Chapel on Aug. 25 from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be at Sneed Funeral Chapel on Aug. 26 at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Melody was born Dec. 31, 1964 in Wichita Falls to Wayne and Shirley Fay (Harrison) Hollevoet. She grew up in many places, but her favorites were Bangkok, Thailand and Portland, Oregon before moving to Austin.
Melody graduated from Crockett High School in Austin in 1983.
She had many professions but was known in Lampasas for her care of residents at Regal Nursing and Rehab where she worked in Human Resources.
Melody married Jesse, and they were married for 38 years.
She had a passion for people and caring for them. She loved to cook and had big Sunday dinners with her family. She loved late-night movie watching and spontaneous trips to the beach with her husband to watch the sunrise.
Melody was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Fay, and her older brother, Robert “Bobby” Dean.
Survivors include her husband, Jesse of Lampasas; sons Joshua Dalton of Belton, Eric Dalton (Laura) of Lampasas and Dakota (Sarah), also of Lampasas; daughters Evette (Hunter) Bowen, Jessica (David) Dalton and Dorothy Dalton, all of Lampasas; father, Wayne Jerrold Hollevoet of Austin; brother, Wayne (Anna) Hollevoet of Austin; sister, Janette Hollevoet of Lampasas; grandchildren Keenan, Eryka, Alexzander, Kyle, Tyler, Jack, Mackinzie, Shelby and Waylon; great-granddaughters Serenity and Ellyka Jean; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
