Colton Wayne Thornton, 21, of Lampasas died at his residence on May 20, 2021.
He had lived in Lampasas the past three years with Donnie Porter and Melloney Crouch Porter, and previously lived in Bell County.
He was born in Taylor County on July 24, 1999.
Colton graduated from Temple High School. He was an avid baseball fan and loved collecting baseball caps and watching games on television.
He was gregarious and loved to laugh and talk, and enjoyed being surrounded by his family, friends and caretakers. He was very social and inquisitive.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lyndon and Alvajean Porter; maternal grandparents, Donald and Janith Crouch; and one uncle, Ronnie Porter. He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Katie Love Porter and Tiffany Porter.
Colton is survived by his parents, Donnie and Melloney Porter; three brothers, Harry Porter and Donnie Porter Jr. of Lampasas, and James Porter of Alabama; three sisters, Samantha Porter and Ellie Porter of Lampasas, and Linda Wendling of Tow; grandmother Lilly Yarno of Hewitt; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.
