Miss Katie Love Porter, 14, died on April 25, 2021 at her residence in Lampasas.
She was born on Oct. 27, 2006 in Plano. She had lived in Lampasas for the past three years with her parents, Donnie and Melloney Crouch Porter.
Katie loved music and playing games with her family and friends. She attended middle school in Lampasas and was a student in the homeschool program.
Katie is survived by her parents; four brothers, Harry Porter, Colton Thornton and Donnie Porter Jr. of Lampasas, and James Porter of Alabama; three sisters, Samantha Porter and Ellie Porter of Lampasas, and Linda Wendling of Tow; her grandmother, Lilly Yarno of Hewitt; and by several aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lyndon and Alvajean Porter; maternal grandparents, Donald and Janith Crouch; and one uncle, Ronnie Porter.
The family will hold a service for Katie at 11 a.m. May 8 at their residence, 1558 FM 1478 in Lampasas County. Heritage Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
