Stunning sunsets on display

Local resident Susan Zegub, whose photography has been featured often in the Dispatch Record’s Guide to Lampasas magazine, has published a book with some of her best shots of sunsets, cloud formations and wildflowers.

Burnet County to host Hay Production Workshop

The Central Texas Hay Production Workshop is set for Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Burnet County Extension Office, 607 N. Vandeveer in Burnet. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $15, which can be paid at the door. Two general continuing education units will be offered.

Annual car show sees high turnout

The 14th annual Classics at the Classic Car Show took place last weekend at the back parking lot of Storm’s Drive-In. Show organizers said the event had its best turnout since moving to the site several years ago.

Hill Country Radio new home to ‘Ken & Casey Morning Show’

A new radio station has come to town, and it’s the new home for the popular “Ken & Casey Morning Show.” Hill Country Radio aired for the first time in July and already has an average daily listener count of 3,000, said cofounder Christy Bartt.

Sign-up now open for hay workshop

The Central Texas Hay Production Workshop is set Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration that morning is at 8:30 a.m. at the Burnet County Extension Office, 607 N. Vandeveer St. in Burnet. Cost of the workshop is $15. An RSVP to 512-756-5463 is requested by Sept. 26.
