Tornado warning, flash flood warning issued

A tornado warning and flash flood warning have been issued for Lampasas County Wednesday evening.The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning in effect for Lampasas and surrounding counties from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. A flash flood warning was also issued, remaining effective until 8 p.m.

Flood watch in effect until Friday morning

A flood watch has been issued for Lampasas County due to Thursday rains. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Lampasas, Hamilton, Coryell, Bell and surrounding counties. Thursday afternoon storms are expected to produce between 1.5 and 3.

Severe weather expected after today's eclipse

National Weather Service meteorologists are predicting severe storms this afternoon after the total solar eclipse. The NWS issued a hazardous weather outlook at 4:26 a.m. Monday for North and Central Texas, including Lampasas, Hamilton, Coryell, Bell and several other surrounding counties.

City announces water leak and impending boil notice

The city of Lampasas issued a notice of a water leak as of Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. affecting homes on several county roads within city limits. “We have a water leak affecting homes on the following county roads; 3400, 1045, 1048, 1049, 1050, East 580, and Kathy Lane.

Wind advisory issued for Lampasas County

Batten down the hatches! The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the area this afternoon.  NWS officials issued a wind advisory for Lampasas, Coryell, Hamilton and surrounding counties effective from noon to 6 p.m. Winds of 20-30 mph with gusts of up to 45 mph are expected.

Boil water notice rescinded

A boil water notice issued on Tuesday night was rescinded on Thursday morning. At 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, the city of Lampasas issued a boil water notice for residents west of Key Avenue due to a break discovered in a mainline near the intersection of West Fourth Street and Willis Street. At 8:18 p.m.

Boil water notice issued for citizens west of Key Avenue

The city of Lampasas has issued a boil water notice for residents west of Key Avenue due to a break discovered in a mainline.  City officials issued the notice at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday after a break was located in a mainline near the intersection of 4th Street and Willis Street.  As of 8:18 p.m.

Boil water notice rescinded

Lampasas City officials have announced the boil water notice as rescinded as of 11 a.m. Friday. Results from water tests taken on Thursday came back as sanitary and safe for human consumption.
