Explosive second quarter propels Badgers past Dumas

A 34-point outburst in the second quarter of last Friday’s playoff game against Dumas was the catalyst for a second consecutive blowout win in the postseason for the Badgers.Lampasas beat Dumas 55-21 in last week’s arearound playoff game to continue its season for at least one more week.

The Badger football team will hit the road and head to Andrews, which is not far from the New Mexico border, to meet the Dumas Demons in their secondround playoff matchup.The Demons have a 5-6 record this season. They finished district play at 2-3.

Lampasas picks up first loss this season against Glen Rose

A slow start and a tough defensive second half resulted in the Badger basketball team’s first loss of the season when they hosted Glen Rose on Tuesday night.The Badgers lost 68-52 after falling behind 14-5 through one quarter and being outscored 21-10 by the Tigers in the third quarter.
