Boys’ soccer team goes 3-0 at final tournament of season

The Badger soccer team played in its final tournament of the season last weekend in Fort Worth.Lampasas went 3-0 against the competition.On Thursday, the team played through the frigid elements and took a 3-0 win.Goals were scored by Cooper Pfaltzgraff, Xavier Contreras and Chris Mendoza.

The Badgers held on down the stretch against Burnet to pick up another district win, this one a narrow 45-43 victory.Lampasas got out to a 16-7 lead after the first quarter, then stretched the margin to 10 points by halftime.

Girls’ basketball team loses to Burnet at home

Last Friday night, the Lady Badger basketball team struggled offensively in a loss to Burnet. Although the final score was 36-22, the first quarter told the story of this contest.The Lady Badgers were outscored 10-1 in the first eight minutes of the game.

Basketball games at Taylor rescheduled

Lady Badger Abra White drives with the ball in Friday night’s home contest against Burnet. The basketball games originally set for tonight at Taylor have been moved to Wednesday night, starting with the girls’ varsity matchup at 5 p.m. The Badger boys’ game will follow.

Badgers hold on to win after late Salado surge

The Badger basketball team picked up a road district win over the Salado Eagles on Tuesday night. Lampasas won 49-45.The Badgers came out on fire early, and they were up by double digits in the second quarter – as much as by 18 points, but they never got the lead to 20.
