Badgers host the Johnny Lam Jones Relays

Last Thursday was the annual Johnny Lam Jones Relays hosted at Lampasas High School.The Lady Badgers team finished third with 75.5 points at the event, while the Badger boys finished sixth with 39 points.

Badgers set personal and school records at state powerlifting meet

Badger Aaron Everts medaled at the state powerlifting meet, as he earned a fifth-place finish in the 181-pound unequipped division.Everts recorded personal records in the squat at 515 pounds and deadlift at 570 pounds.

The final tournament of the spring season before district is held took place last week in Liberty Hill.The Lampasas team competed in a tournament with 13 teams at both the 4A and 5A level.

On Tuesday night, the Lady Badger softball team had trouble with errors and lost 10-5 to Burnet.Lampasas jumped out to a lead in the second inning with a two-run homer by Laynee Bretey. But they would give that lead right back, as Burnet scored two runs in the top of the third.
