Basketball team plays third week of Georgetown summer league

The Badger basketball team played the final week of the Georgetown summer league last Monday, going 1-1 on the day.Lampasas picked up a close win over Georgetown 63-60 after Peyton Sisson hit his free throw on a fouled three-point attempt to break the 60-60 tie.

Hundreds of students attend first week of SWAT

The annual summer conditioning program known as SWAT kicked off Monday at the high school, with hundreds of middle school and high school athletes showing up to work out and improve their skills.

Boys’ basketball competes in summer action

The Badger basketball team played some summer basketball on two different fronts last week.They played their first day of the Georgetown summer league last Thursday, and then the Badgers hosted a tournament last Friday.In all, Lampasas played five games and went 4-1 over that stretch.

Girls’ basketball to host summer league starting Thursday

Summer basketball never stops. The Lady Badgers are kicking off a home summer league on Thursday. They will play every Thursday in June at the high school gym.Two Lampasas teams will compete Lampasas White and Lampasas Blue -- in these games. The first contest will be at 4 p.m.

Annual Memorial tournament played over the holiday weekend

The 73rd Annual A.C. January Memorial golf tournament was held last weekend at the Hancock Park course. Although the third round for the championship through fourth flights had to be canceled, the results were calculated through two rounds for them and through three rounds for everyone else.

Summer conditioning workouts set to begin Monday morning

The annual SWAT summer conditioning program gets underway Monday. It will serve as the starting point for the Badger athletic program in 2025-2026.Hundreds of athletes from incoming seventh-graders to incoming seniors will gather at Lampasas High School at 8 a.m.
