Badger Field will be the site for the week two football contest between Lampasas and Salado.The teams are both 1-0 after the Eagles beat Troy 59-42 in week one, and the Badgers beat Fredericksburg 52-14.

Cross country team wins at Hico meet

The cross country team traveled to Hico on Wednesday to compete in the Bluebonnet Invitational.Two of the four Lampasas teams – the varsity boys and the junior varsity boys – won the meet, while the varsity girls placed fifth out of 13 teams. The junior varsity girls placed second.

Lady Badger volleyball beats Florence in four sets

After a very successful tournament in Killeen last weekend, the Lady Badger volleyball team continued its winning ways Tuesday night when the girls beat Florence in their home-opener.The Lady Badgers won in four sets with a final score of 24-26, 25-19, 25-19, 25-21.

As a new high school football season officially kicked off Friday night, the Badgers once again were on the gridiron. They flexed their muscles in a 52-14 blowout over Fredericksburg on the road.

Lady Badgers continue winning ways at Killeen tournament

The Lady Badger volleyball team had its best weekend of the season, as the girls emerged as champions of the silver bracket at the Killeen varsity tournament.Lampasas beat Waco High School in two sets, 25-21, 25-13.

Second-half adjustments give Lometa win over Gorman

Lometa’s 2025 football campaign opened with a 40-16 win last Thursday over Gorman.The game started slowly for both teams, and penalties killed drives for the Hornets in the first half. Secondhalf adjustments were the difference in the game, as Lometa outscored the Panthers 32-8 after the break.

Cross country competes in Belton

The Lampasas cross country team went to Belton last Friday to compete in the Pro-Fit Invitational.Although some runners were dealing with sickness and minor injuries, the team still finished the event with improvements noted in times and a medal, according to coach Kim Burnside.
