Boys’ cross country team narrowly misses first place at Salado meet

On Thursday, the cross country teams traveled to Salado for the Tenroc Invitational, where they put together a good showing.Across the board, personal records were set on all the Lampasas teams, and Badger runners picked up four individual medals, according to head coach Kim Burnside.

Lometa suffered its first 2025 football loss Thursday night at the hands of the Eden Bulldogs. Penalties and turnovers by the Hornets resulted in the lopsided 64-14 score, with Lometa turning the ball over five separate times.

Badger Stadium was packed Friday night, as football fans were chomping at the bit to watch their team play at home for the first time in the new season.Those fans were treated to a dominant performance by the Badgers and a 43-12 win over the Salado Eagles.

Lady Badgers take loss in final non-district match

The Lady Badger volleyball team suffered a tight, five-set loss against McGregor last Friday in the final non-district match of the season.Head coach Ali Tippie said the girls made a few too many mistakes, and they lost focus more often than McGregor did. That ultimately led to the loss.
