Burnet takes home game over Badgers

Last Friday, the Badgers traveled into a hostile environment in Burnet, and they were not able to come away with the win. Lampasas struggled offensively to start the game, and that put the boys in a hole, as they trailed 12-6 after the first quarter.

Lampasas tennis team competes in first spring tournament

The Lampasas varsity tennis team traveled to Pflugerville last week for a 21-team tournament. This was the first of eight tournaments scheduled before district, and it was filled with plenty of 5A and 6A competition, according to head coach Kenneth Peiser.

Girls’ basketball has poor shooting night, falls to Burnet

The Lady Badgers lost a tough game to the Burnet Lady Dawgs on the road last Friday. The 51-38 defeat came because of a rare, poor shooting night in which the Lady Badgers could not get shots to fall. “We did not have a very good shooting game.

Boys' and girls' soccer games rescheduled for Thursday

The Badger and Lady Badger soccer teams' games that were scheduled for Tuesday evening have been postponed and moved to Thursday. Both teams will now be traveling to Gatesville and the girls will play at 4:30 p.m. while the boys will play at 6:30 p.m.

Girls’ basketball team battles for win over Lago Vista

The Lady Badgers struggled out of the gate against Lago Vista Tuesday night, but they were able to right the ship in the second half and came away with a 43-30 win. The victory puts the Lampasas girls at 3-1 as the first half of district play ends. They are tied for first with Marble Falls.

Badger soccer closes out non-district schedule with dominant win

The Badgers hosted Founders Classical Academy of Leander on Tuesday in what originally was an open spot on the schedule to get in one final match before district play begins tonight. They will be heading into tonight’s match with plenty of momentum after a 6-1 win.

Powerlifting teams see success in home meet

Both the boys’ and girls’ powerlifting teams competed in their home meet last week in the Lampasas High School gym. The guys had 23 lifters, and they ended up placing third overall with 29 points.
