Badgers have several standouts at district wrestling tournament

The Badger wrestling teams competed in the district tournament last week, and several competitors finished in the top three of their weight class. Lampasas head coach Donovan Kleckner said 10 female wrestlers are heading to the regional tournament because of their success at district.

Soccer teams play early district matches

The Badger and Lady Badger soccer teams just finished a stretch of district games that saw them both play three games from last Friday through Wednesday. They opened up with home games against China Spring on Friday. The girls recorded a 4-0 loss, but the boys were dominant in a 6-1 win.

Badgers win district games on back-to-back nights

The inclement weather last week created some scheduling difficulties around Lampasas basketball and forced teams to play district games on back-toback nights last Thursday and Friday. To start, the Badgers hosted Marble Falls on Thursday.

The Lady Badgers played host to the Marble Falls Lady Mustangs on Thursday after the game was moved from Tuesday because of the icy conditions last week. The Lady Badgers lost to Marble Falls in the first round of district play, and they were determined to change that this time around.

Growing up and still to this day, Texas Tech football has a special place in my heart. The Red Raiders have always been my Texas university of choice, mostly because my brother attended during the Mike Leach era.
