Lady Badgers continue summer success

The Lady Badgers captured two wins on their home hardwood during Monday’s summer league action.The wins came after Lampasas earned first place at the TABC showcase in Bryan June 14-15.Monday’s games featured familiar opponents in Burnet and Goldthwaite.

Winners named from Third annual KM Scramble

Winners have been announced from the Third Annual KM Scramble held at Hancock Park Municipal Golf Course on June 14.The tournament is a two-man scramble hosted by Murray Events and Keller Williams Realty.

Youngsters hone skills at Lady Badger camp

The Lampasas High School girls’ basketball program hosted a summer basketball camp for second- through sixth-grade students on Wednesday and Thursday.Around 30 campers were present to learn about fundamentals from Lady Badger head coach Marcus Chapa and members of the high school squad.

The last name Pinckney is familiar to some around Lampasas. Now there is a swimmer bearing that name who will be competing this week for a chance at the Olympics and a little more name recognition.

Badgers finish off Llano summer league with two wins

The Lampasas basketball team secured wins over Llano and Burnet to close out the summer league in Llano on Thursday night.The first game of the night ended in a 53-42 Badger win over Burnet.Peyton Sisson had one of his best scoring games of the summer.

The Lady Badger basketball team played in its second week of summer league action at the high school with matchups against Marble Falls and Llano.Lampasas won both games, beating the Lady Mustangs 25-20, and picking up a dominant win over Llano at 34-19.

Badgers fall to two difficult opponents at Georgetown league

The Badger basketball team took on Belton and Westwood Wednesday night at the summer league in Georgetown.Final scores were not available after the games, but head coach Aaron Nuckles said the Badgers lost both games by about a 20-point margin.

Busy week in summer basketball for the Badgers

Over the course of last week, the Badger basketball team played on three different days in three different locations.On Wednesday, the Badgers played in their league in Georgetown in games against Leander and Jarrell.In game one, Lampasas struggled against Leander in a 56-34 defeat.
