Lometa’s defense continues to be a difference maker this year, with three interceptions helping propel the Hornets to a 42-12 win last Friday over Eden.Lometa used a balanced offensive approach in the game, as the team found the end zone with three rushing and three passing touchdowns.

The Lady Badger volleyball team hosted Taylor for the districtopener last Friday, and it resulted in a three-set loss for Lampasas.Taylor took the match by scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-16.For the individual stats, Abbey Green led the way for the Lady Badgers with two aces, and Julia Ybarra had one.

A 28-point second quarter created the separation needed for the Badgers’ blowout win Friday over the Chaparral Bobcats. By the time the clock hit triple zeroes, the final score was 63-20.The Lampasas defense took the ball away four times.
