Badger baseball players honored at annual banquet

On Monday, the Badger baseball players, coaches, families and friends gathered at Burleson 1856 for the annual awards banquet.A barbecue dinner was catered for the event, and everyone was able to reminisce about the season and enjoy one last time together as a group.

First post-school youth camps draw participants

Classes for the Lampasas school district have ended, which means the first youth sports camps started.A tennis camp, a volleyball camp and a baseball camp all took place this week.Youth from first grade through incoming freshmen got the opportunity to participate in some of these camps.

SWAT set to begin first day of June

Although school ended last Thursday, a big group of students from Lampasas Middle School and Lampasas High School will be back on campus in no time, as Badger athletes will begin the annual SWAT conditioning program June 1.

The Lady Badger softball team had many of its players honored with All-District recognitions. Official results were announced after all the teams in the district had their seasons end.

More youth sports camps on deck this week

After one youth football camp took place last week, this week will see more of the camps for this summer.Tennis, baseball and volleyball are all holding camps this week for young Badgers.Monday through Wednesday is the tennis camp that will feature kids from grades first through ninth.

Local resident headed to national senior games in swimming

A local woman recently won two different swimming events at the Texas state senior games in San Antonio, and has qualified to compete at the National Senior Games in the summer of 2027 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Tennis coaches honor players after great season

This week, the annual tennis banquet was held to put a bow on what was a very successful season for the program.Head coach Kenneth Peiser said about 85 people were in attendance at the banquet Tuesday. The group enjoyed desserts while awards were given out.

Young Badgers kick off youth camp season
