Mr. Kelley

Earl William Kelley, 78, of Lometa died on May 9, 2022 at Lily Springs Nursing & Rehabilitation in Lampasas. Funeral services will be held at the Lometa Church of Christ on May 14 at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow. Interment will be private.

Mr. Lincycomb

Robert “Scott” Lincycomb, 72, of Lampasas died on May 1, 2022, at AdventHealth Rollins Brook in Lampasas. Visitation was held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on May 5. Services will be May 6 at 11 a.m., also at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Cagle

Esperanza Pantoja Cagle died on April 28, 2022. She was born May 1, 1927 She was born May 1, 1927 in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico to parents Jesus and Maria Pantoja and came to the United States in 1955 when she married Harland E. Cagle from Bend, Texas.

Mr. Henderson

Jon Franklin Henderson, 82, of Kempner died on April 24, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. May 7 at Viss Family Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Jon was born Sept. 25, 1939 in Killeen to Robert James Henderson Sr. and Opal Elizabeth Herring.

Mrs. Payne

Wanda F. Payne, 88, of Lampasas died on April 24, 2022 at her residence. Services will be private. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements. Wanda was born in Lometa on Nov. 25, 1933 to K.L. Lindsey and Pearl (Walker) Lindsey.

Mr. Butts

Robert Wayne Butts, 65, died April 17, 2022, at AdventHealth Rollins Brook hospital in Lampasas. Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on April 22 at 10 a.m. Robert was born on May 5, 1956 in Lampasas to Harold and Nelda Munday Butts.

Mr. Jones

Retired 1 st Sgt. Billie C. Jones of Anniston, Alabama died Jan. 27, 2022. Bill was born in Gatesville, Texas, on Oct. 25, 1931 to W.T. Jones and Jennie Sims Jones. When he was a young boy, the family moved to Lampasas, where he grew up. He joined the U.S.

Ms. Miller

Ruby Lee Miller was born Sept. 16, 1937 to the Izoro family of Mr. Walter “Pete” Ayers and his wife, Lillie Mae Ayers. She died on April 9, 2022. Ruby was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorathy Grahm and Louise Rice.

Mr. Rios

Franklin Duenas Rios, 52, a longtime resident of Kempner, died on Dec. 4, 2021. He was born in Guam on Oct. 23, 1969, to Francisco G. and Rosemarie (Iglesias) Rios. He was a carpenter and general handyman by trade.

Mr. Denning

David Brian Denning, 61, of Kempner died at his home on April 9, 2022. He was born Jan. 17, 1961 in Taylorville, Illinois, the son of Elwood and Rose Marie (Curry) Denning. He met Judith Petersilge in his hometown, and they married Nov. 20, 1979. David had a lifelong career in telecommunications.
