Mr. Gant

Charles “Charlie” Lynn Gant, 70, of Leakey died on May 22, 2022. He was born on Feb. 23, 1952 to Charles Smart and Jean Ryan (Smart) Withers in San Antonio. He was adopted by Randy Gant after his father’s death.

Mrs. Higgins

Birdie Faye Dixon Higgins, 92, died on May 27, 2022 at her home in Comfort. A funeral service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas at 10 a.m. June 3, with an 8-10 a.m. visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.

Mr. Tucker

William Noel Tucker, 66, of Lampasas died at his home in May 2022. He was born on Dec. 22, 1955 in Abilene to William Hudson and Shelby Laneta (Hobbs) Tucker. William was a musician and played the guitar.

Scott Cloud, 82, of Lampasas died on May 21, 2022, at Lampasas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on May 26 at 2 p.m., with a visitation an hour prior. Weldon “Scott” Cloud was born on Jan. 15, 1940 in Lampasas to Weldon D.

Mrs. Eckhoff

Mebra Dean Lively Eckhoff, known as “Mebbie”, 73, of Bend died on May 18, 2022 in Lampasas. Mebbie was born on Jan. 19, 1949 in San Saba to Sherman Archie Lively and Jolene Broyles Lively. She graduated from San Saba High School in 1968.

Mrs. Alderson

Elizabeth Jane Alderson, a longtime resident of Lampasas, died in Lampasas on May 13, 2022. She was born on Aug. 11, 1929 in Naruna to Jim Tom and Hazel (Martin) Kirby. Jane married Charles Stillman “Tim” Alderson on April 16, 1946 in San Angelo.

Mr. Edwards

James Frank Edwards Jr., son of James “Stump” Edwards and Bessie Orr, died on May 16, 2022 at the age of 91. Frank was born on May 5, 1931 in Richland Springs, where he graduated from high school. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force after high school.

Mr. Fellows

David Martin Fellows, 63, died May 1, 2022 at his home in Lampasas. A remembrance service will be held at Grace Fellowship Church in Lampasas on May 21 at 11 a.m. David was born on Jan. 25, 1959 in Kittery, Maine, to Paul DeWitt and Patsy June Wright Fellows Jr.
