Mr. Thompson

Malcolm Edward Thompson III, 58, died on Sept. 16, 2022, in Killeen. Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Sept. 21 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at First Baptist Church in Lampasas on Sept. 22 at 2 p.m., with interment to follow at Rock Church Cemetery in Rumley.

Mrs. Forbes

  Wanda Darlene Forbes, 75, of Lampasas died on Sept. 8, 2022. Memorial services will be held at First Street Church of Christ on Sept. 24 at 10 a.m., with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Mr. Delagado

Joe Edward “Eddie” Delgado died Sept. 6, 2022. He was born on July 22, 1953, to John and Janie (Gill) Delgado in Burnet. He grew up in Lampasas and eventually moved to Cleburne to be closer to his kids and grandkids, and eventually his greatgrandkids.

Mrs. Wilson

Johnnie Kenan Wilson, 97, died on Sept. 2, 2022, at River Ridge Nursing Home in Corpus Christi. Graveside services will be held at Naruna Cemetery on Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. The family will greet friends and relatives at 9 a.m. before the service. Johnnie was born on Oct.

Mr. Dennis

Pete Bailey Dennis of Adamsville died on Sept. 1, 2022. Pete was born in 1936 in Peacock, Texas, to Burris and Virgie Vencil Dennis. He was raised in a ranching family, but by age 5 he had his eyes on the sky.

Mr. Kelley

Ray Kelley, 89, of Lampasas died on Aug. 28, 2022 in Georgetown. Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Sept. 4 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be on Sept. 5 at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Briggs.

Mrs. Lindsey

Jeanette Lindsey, 88, of Lampasas died on Aug. 30, 2022. Services will be held at Northside Baptist Church in Lampasas on Sept. 3 at 2 p.m., with a visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow at Smith Cemetery in Kempner. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gilbert

Bertha E. Gilbert, 86, of Lometa died at AdventHealth Rollins Brook hospital on Aug. 19, 2022. Mrs. Gilbert had lived in Lometa for the past 50-plus years, moving there from Merkel. She was born on Sept. 10, 1935, in Merkel, to Gaither and Eunice (Beard) Isenburg.

Mr. Haynie

Walter Y. Haynie, 86, of Georgetown and formerly of Lampasas, died on Aug. 13, 2022. Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Aug. 19 at 10 a.m., with visitation an hour prior. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Rodgers

Lois Rogers, 97, of Lampasas died on Aug. 14, 2022. She was born on July 17, 1925, in San Saba. Services will be private. Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel has charge of arrangements. Lois was a mother and homemaker, and she cherished her grandchildren and taught them much.
