Marjorie “Elaine” Jackson Owens died on July 25, 2024, in Lampasas at the age of 82.She was born on March 4, 1942, in Lamesa to Raymond and Clara Jackson of Big Spring.Elaine married Jackie Wayne Owens on June 3, 1960, at Westside Baptist Church in Big Spring. He preceded her in death.

Carolyn Jean Fisk Haynie, 85, died on July 22, 2024, at Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock.Funeral services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Aug. 2 at 11 a.m., with visitation an hour prior. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.Carolyn was born on Nov.

Lucie Anne Barnard Greene, 85, died on July 19, 2024.Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on July 30 from 10 a.m. until noon. A private graveside service will be conducted for the family at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 2 p.m., July 30.

Terry Lee Schaub, 62, of Katy died on July 21, 2024 at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital.Terry was born April 20, 1962 to Charles and Joyce Schaub of Lampasas.He attended school in Lampasas and graduated from Lampasas High School in the Class of 1980.

Clarence Benton Jr., 93, died on July 6, 2024, at Lampasas Assisted Living. He was born on Oct. 28, 1930, in Akron, Ohio to Clarence and Blanche Ross Benton.Services will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church on July 27 at 10 a.m., with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.

Kooper Neil Chaney

Kooper Neil Chaney, 20, of Kempner died at his residence on June 22, 2024.Kooper was born at St. David’s in Georgetown to Aubrey Hart and Lindsey Chaney Greenwood.He loved being with family and making people laugh. He also enjoyed football, fishing and writing songs.
