Quintin Brice Eddy was welcomed into this world on Sept. 20, 1944, by his parents, Brice M. Eddy and Mattie Floy Eddy. He died peacefully at his home on April 12, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Quintin spent most of his life in Lampasas. He met the love of his life, Sylvia Ann Taylor, and they married on August 22, 1964. They enjoyed life together for nearly 62 years. To this union, two daughters – Marian and Adrian -- were born.
Quintin was a member of School Creek Baptist Church. He was strong in his faith and love for the Lord. He instilled that love in his daughters throughout their lives.
Quintin Brice made his living by building cabinets. He was a master at his craft. He also enjoyed building, working on and shooting guns.
The thing he found the most pleasure in was farming and ranching the land his family had and that his children will continue to look after. No matter what tools Quintin picked up, whether carpenter’s tools, automotive tools or farming equipment, he was a master craftsman and artisan.
Quintin Brice is survived by his wife, Sylvia; daughters Marian Salisbury (Clay) and Adrian Connolly (Clint); grandchildren Evan Salisbury, Owen Salisbury, Avery Salisbury, Caden Connolly (Michaela), Cassidy Langley (Cameron) and Kendal Connolly (Braden); a great-granddaughter, Madi Suede Connolly; his brother, James “Jim” Eddy (Neta); his nephew, Roy Taylor; his nieces Terri Taylor and Beth Rhyan (Tad); and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on April 16 from 6-8 p.m.
Graveside services will be at Center Cemetery in Lometa on April 17 at 10 a.m.
