TxDOT to continue construction along U.S. 281

The Texas Department of Transportation’s construction efforts along U.S. Highway 281 South resumed Monday in preparation for a new traffic pattern.The project that started in February 2024 is estimated to be completed in May 2026.

City Council hears budget proposals from department heads

On Monday afternoon, the Lampasas City Council spent approximately three hours listening to department heads explain their budget requests and how they would like to use the money in the upcoming fiscal year.

SCV Camp explores Southern history with ‘The Judge’

On Tuesday, the Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp No. 2353 gathered at the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce for its monthly meeting.The gathering featured a presentation by Texas Division Chaplain James Bozeman, who shared insights into the historical significance of the Confederate era.
