City Council discusses taxes, new water rates

On Wednesday, the Lampasas City Council held its fourth budget workshop of the summer. Although no decisions were made, the council seemed to agree on a $1 per 1,000 gallons rate increase for both water and wastewater charges.

Without the nine floodcontrol dams managed by the Lampasas County Water Control & Improvement District No. 1, Paul Wilborn says downtown Lampasas may have been underwater on the night of July’s Spring Ho flood.
