Lampasas County 27th District Court convened last week with Judge Debbie Garrett presiding over the day’s hearings.

Sales tax rebates rise in September

All three cities in the county showed increased sales tax revenues this month, compared to the September 2024 statistics.September payments are based on local sales made in July by businesses that report their taxes monthly to the state comptroller.

Political organizer and Lampasas rancher Clayton Tucker is looking to challenge Sid Miller in 2026 to be the Lone Star State’s next agriculture commissioner.

Lampasas school board OKs purchase of new Chromebooks

It was a short meeting last Monday for the Lampasas Independent School District Board of Trustees, with only consent items to accept.Trustee Sam Walker was absent from the proceedings.In the consent agenda, board members approved a waiver for the maximum class size.
