County joins new water alliance

The Lampasas County Commissioners Court members agreed now is the time to join the Central Texas Water Alliance to prepare for the county’s future water supply and infrastructure needs.

TxDOT to unveil possible I-14 route

The Texas Department of Transportation Brownwood District will hold three inperson meetings on a possible path for Interstate-14, stretching from Copperas Cove to Lometa. TxDOT said it is initiating a route study between the two cities to determine the future location of I-14 across Lampasas County.

School board puts multi-purpose facility back on table

A multi-purpose center for athletics and other extracurricular activities is likely to appear in a May 2026 bond election after Lampasas ISD school board members resurrected the proposal in a called meeting on Monday.

LHS students take over the kitchen with new ‘Badger Bistro’

The Badger Bistro is now open for business at Lampasas High School.The bistro is managed by LHS culinary students and serves teachers twice a week with flavorful entrees ranging from classic spaghetti and meatballs to themed charcuterie boards.
