Fire damages home Wednesday morning

A Lampasas County woman escaped without injury from a fire that started in her home on Wednesday morning. At approximately 11:20 a.m., the Lampasas and Kempner fire departments were called to the fire in the 300 block of County Road 3064.

Pageant winners to represent Lampasas

The report from the June 28 Lampasas Cattle Auction follows. Cattle and calves: Total cattle 487, compared to 449 last sale and 742 at this time last year. Compared to last sale, feeder steers and heifers steady to $3 higher. Slaughter cows $2-$4 higher; slaughter bulls steady.
