Costume Contest winners named

Vision Lampasas’ popular Costume Contest took place Saturday at the courthouse bandstand. Winners for 2023 are listed below.

Anderson receives delayed sentencing in felony drug case

A Killeen woman pleaded guilty to a first-degree felony drug charge in Lampasas County 27th District Court on Oct. 20. Chantel Gabriell Anderson, 30, pleaded guilty to a charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, between four and 200 grams.

Water production slows due to flooding

Central Texas Water Supply’s plant that provides water to Lampasas is unable to produce water due to heavy rains last week. CTWS has two different plants along Stillhouse Hollow Lake, with the plant on the west side servicing Lampasas.

Group rallies to preserve Lampasas landmarks

The stone building tucked beside the Fourth Street bridge is more than crumbling walls and piles of rubble. It is a place that holds memories, and it is a place that matters. The more than 100-year-old structure was first named St. Christopher’s Catholic Church.
