A foggy morning in Lampasas County

A driver captured this image of the low-lying clouds hovering over FM 580 East this week. Although warm temperatures prevailed for much of the week, rain chances are in the forecast for Sunday with cooler weather expected to move in.

County Judge Randy Hoyer has lifted the outdoor burn ban. Burning in the county will be allowed until 6 p.m. Nov. 30. Residents are asked to notify the Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office at 512-556-8255 when they plan to conduct a burn.

UPDATE: KWSC announces main line fix on FM 2808

**Story updated at 2:50 p.m.   At 10:57 a.m. this morning, the Kempner Water Supply Corporation sent a message to customers informing of a main line leak on FM 2808. The issue has now been resolved.  In an alert to KWSC members at 2:45 p.m.

LMS hosts 21st annual Veterans Day ceremony

United States Armed Forces veterans were treated to a special breakfast and school-wide recognition Thursday morning at Lampasas Middle School. Afterward, the school presented the 21st edition of its Veterans Day program.

Bringing breast cancer awareness

Kline Whitis Elementary School honored 63 community members who have fought the disease of breast cancer. The breast cancer awareness tree was set up inside the school entrance.
