Lampasas Mission will offer a canned soup drive – a Soup-err Bowl – on Sunday. Donations of canned soup may be dropped off this week at the Mission, 910 E. Fourth St., on either Tuesday or Thursday between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

LMS continues its success in One-Act Play competition

Lampasas Middle School theater students captured first place for a third consecutive year in UIL One-Act Play competition at Lampasas High School on Saturday. Along with the top prize, six LMS students were recognized for their individual efforts.

Crash along U.S. 183 results in hospitalization

A motor vehicle accident involving a disabled truck tractor along U.S. Highway 183 in the early-morning hours on Wednesday led to the air evacuation of a 33-year-old male from Pasadena. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety’s report, the crash occurred at 4 a.m.

Farm Bureau announces its 2024 Photo Contest

The Board of Directors of Lampasas County Farm Bureau is sponsoring its annual Photo Contest, and the 2024 theme is “Farm to Table.” To be eligible, entrants must be a resident of Lampasas County, and the photograph must be taken within the time period of the contest -- between Feb. 1 and Aug. 1.
